In Iron, ml726 jumped out to a 6-0 lead over strobo en route to a 7-3 final. Two players are MIA, but the remaining four are all within a few points of one another. jecat is tied with ml726 for first with a match yet to play, and his opponent, mrrgs, lurks just one point back of the leaders. This week marks one of his best chances to make a move into that top two tier that will play for the Iron throne.
baldrick and marimo, the dueling brothers of Copper, clashed again with the former taking a 7-3 win in a casted match. There are too many matches outstanding to guess how this might shake out; it’s very plausible one of these kin will be crowned king, but steph could spoil the family feud once more matches resolve.
In Bronze, nanthelas won handily over catnip 7-1. jyaty jumped to a 6-3 lead over sgnurf and had three chances to become just the second 5-0 player in the league, but sgnurf took them all to force a tie.
In Silver, teetery defeated turnout8 7-4. turnout8 is 0-4, but his last two matches have been considerably tighter than the first two. Meanwhile, division leader wodar tied yerand 6-6 with each player taking one spy win in a dramatic casted match. It’s the first time wodar hasn’t won outright, though at 4-0-1 he remains undefeated, with yerand just behind at 3-0-1. The two seem destined for a championship clash given the points gap between them and the rest of Silver at the moment.
In Gold, scallions bounced back from a sharp loss last week to defeat sharper 7-2. The two play each other again immediately in Week 6. After a win and a draw to start the season sharper has dropped the last three. elvisnake finished his week 4 match against royaflush, winning 7-4, and tied falconhit 6-6. The latter has yet to lose. elvisnake currently sits in second, but pwndnoob has a match yet to play.
pires vs. drawnonward was the only Platinum match played this week, with the former winning 7-3, staying just one point behind division leader cleetose, who has yet to play his week 5 match with slappydavis, who has two outstanding matches and likely needs to win at least one to stay in the hunt.
In Diamond bloom scored his first win of the season, over magician1099 after consecutive ties, canadianbacon defeated warningtrack 7-4 in a match featuring five spy wins, and krazycaley jumped out to a 5-0 lead on kcmmmmm in a live, casted rematch of last year’s finals, then withstood a furious comeback to win 7-5. krazycaley has opened up a two-point lead over canadianbacon in second place, but after that just two points separate 3rd from 5th.
This week marks the halfway point of Season 4.
